Joe Hesketh had an impressive outing and center fielder Mitch Webster had 4 hits and 4 RBI as the Montreal Expos beat the New York Mets by a score of 9 to 1. 

Webster had a big day against New York. He ripped a base-knock which brought home a run in the 1st inning, smashed a two-run homer in the 3rd inning, doubled in the 7th inning and doubled plating a run in the 8th inning. Montreal had a total of 17 hits for the game. 

Hesketh(16-9) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. The loss was charged to Sid Fernandez(24-8). Montreal knocked him around a bit, as he gave up 6 runs in 5 innings.
