October 4, 1985: Pirates (71-89) at Phillies (68-92)

Rick Reuschel carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the Pittsburgh Pirates defeated the Philadelphia Phillies 1 to 0 at Shibe Park. 

Reuschel(21-7) was on top of his game. He surrendered only 4 hits and 1 walk in 9 innings. Reuschel racked up 10 strikeouts. The right-handed Reuschel had his no-hit bid broken up by Shane Rawley who singled with two outs in the 6th inning. Philadelphia made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. 

Rawley(12-17) was the loser. It was a tough loss for him as he did not allow an earned run in his 8 innings of work.
